Insurgency: Sandstorm has closed out its fourth year of content with a final flourish. Operation: Echoes, Update 1.22, is available now on PlayStation, Xbox and PC, and it looks back at the tactical shooter's past while adding fresh firepower for both factions.

Every player gets two new submachine guns free as part of the update. Security forces receive the UM45, while Insurgents get the MP40, giving both sides a new close-quarters option at no extra cost.

Alongside the free weapons, Operation: Echoes brings new premium cosmetic sets. The Seasoned Warrior gear set arrives for Security and the Remnant gear set for Insurgents, available to 4-Year Anniversary Edition and Year 4 Pass owners, and for individual purchase.

The update marks the end of Year 4 content for Insurgency: Sandstorm, a game built around close-quarters tactical combat with global crossplay across PlayStation, Xbox and PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and Microsoft Store. Focus Entertainment listed the update on its official news page on October 14, 2026, honouring the echoes of the shooter's past as one chapter closes.
