Monster Hunter Outlanders Reveals Its First Original Elder Dragon

Monster Hunter Outlanders now has a flagship monster of its own. At gamescom 2026, Garena revealed Ruger Aidal, an original Elder Dragon made specifically for the mobile hunting game, rather than borrowed from an earlier Monster Hunter title.

The reveal trailer sets the scene with adventurers spotting a strange aurora before sensing something large approaching. Ruger Aidal then emerges as the game's flagship creature, and Garena positions it at the heart of the mysteries surrounding the game's world of Aesoland. For a series built on iconic monsters, giving Outlanders a creature that belongs only to it is a clear statement about the game's identity.

Outlanders is a mobile survival hunting action role-playing game that carries forward the core Monster Hunter loop: exploring varied natural environments, watching how monsters behave, gathering materials, crafting equipment and heading out on hunts. It is licensed and supervised by Capcom, developed by TiMi Studio Group, and published by Garena across Southeast Asia, tying a familiar formula to a new setting and a new cast of creatures.

Alongside the reveal, pre-registration has expanded beyond the game's official website to both major mobile stores. Players can now pre-register on Google Play and the App Store to be notified when the game launches, and Garena says further details on the world, monsters, game modes and upcoming campaigns will arrive through the game's official channels.

A community milestone campaign runs alongside pre-registration. Players who sign up and follow the official Monster Hunter Outlanders social accounts help push toward shared targets, and once the designated milestones are reached, all players will receive rewards at launch including 20 Standard Contracts, with further details on milestones and rewards to be announced later.
