Borderlands 4 Players Slaughtered Millions of Enemies to Earn a Free Loveless Skin

Borderlands 4 players have turned a weekend of carnage into a free cosmetic. During the Community Challenge: Tough Love, players using Loveless the Hacker cut through 48,783,633 enemies across Kairos, including the new island zone of Providence, and that collective effort unlocked a Vault Hunter Skin for the character.

The reward is the Mint Chipset skin for Loveless, claimed with a SHiFT code: 3SX3J-3XZ55-CR33C-JBBJT-XH395. The code can be entered on the Gearbox SHiFT site or through the in-game SHiFT menu in Borderlands 4, and it can be redeemed once per SHiFT account. Claiming it requires a copy of Borderlands 4, a SHiFT account and an internet connection, and the code stays redeemable until December 31, 2030.

There is one catch worth knowing before you redeem. Anyone can claim the code, but actually equipping the skin on Loveless requires owning the Loveless the Hacker DLC. Players who have not picked her up yet can get her through the Super Deluxe Edition, through the Vault Hunter Pack that also bundles the other DLC Vault Hunter and both Story Packs, or as an individual purchase.

The announcement also points players who missed earlier community rewards toward the codes still available from previous challenges, including skins tied to C4SH, Harlowe, Rafa, Amon and Vex, plus the February and March challenge rewards. For Loveless mains, though, the headline is simple: the community did the grinding, and the Mint Chipset skin is the payoff.
