Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery has reached its eighth anniversary, and Jam City marked the milestone on its news page on August 25, 2026, highlighting a new update released to celebrate eight years of the game. The game first launched back in 2018, and the anniversary update continues a run that has made it one of the most complete Hogwarts experiences on mobile.

The scale of that run is striking. The game has grown into a huge mobile title with more than 160 million players, and its community has poured billions of minutes into gameplay over the years since launch.

That longevity rests on the breadth of the experience itself. From its debut to the latest update, the game has offered players a full wizarding journey at Hogwarts, and the anniversary is framed as a celebration of the tight-knit community that has stayed with it.

Eight years after its debut, the new anniversary update gives longtime players fresh content to return to, while the player and playtime totals underline just how enduring Hogwarts Mystery has become in Jam City's catalogue.
