Silk & Silver, a new major expansion for Crusader Kings III, will launch on November 17, 2026, Paradox Interactive announced on October 19, 2026.

The expansion turns the spotlight away from kings and generals and toward the people who moved money, goods and influence across the medieval world. Merchant companies and republican governments take centre stage, offering a different route to power from the one followed by sword and bloodline alone.

That shift changes how a campaign can unfold. Building wealth, protecting trade and managing the politics of a republic all become tools in their own right, rather than background detail behind a dynasty's wars.

Silk & Silver will be available for a suggested retail price of $29.99, £25.99 or €29.99, and it is also included as part of Chapter V for Crusader Kings III, the game's current content pass.

For longtime players, the expansion offers a fresh way to play a familiar game, while for newcomers it provides a reminder that in the medieval world, fortune could be just as decisive as force.
