Crimson Desert's Charting the Unknown Opens the Great Ocean

Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown launched on October 29, 2026 at 22:00 UTC, Pearl Abyss confirmed in its features overview ahead of release. The expansion is the first paid downloadable content for the open-world action adventure, arriving on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and Mac.

The heart of the expansion is three new storylines, one each for Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane. Once players have completed the main story, each character's new chapter can be started through the Journal menu, following their separate paths after their shared fight to protect Pywel.

Beyond the new stories, Charting the Unknown takes players to sea. Kliff, Oongka, and Damiane can dive beneath the waves and explore the underwater world of Pywel, while a new combat-focused mode, the Garden of Trials, lines up bosses encountered across the adventure for back-to-back fights.

The expansion also broadens life outside combat, with romance, business management, and expanded housing among the additions. Pre-orders were available on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and the Epic Games Store, with the Charter's Diving Set for Kliff and Oongka and the Charter's Light Diving Set for Damiane offered as a pre-order bonus.
