VALORANT's telekinetic Duelist Hush arrives with Patch 13.09

VALORANT has a new face on its roster. Patch 13.09 brings Hush into the game, a Duelist from Guangdong province whose whole style revolves around telekinesis. Riot describes her as a precise, finesse-driven operative who takes on classified cases, and her kit is built around steering her own utility through the air to unsettle the other team before finishing the job.

Her passive is the first thing that sets her apart. Telekinesis lets Hush grab dropped weapons, pick up the Spike while attacking, and use switches from farther away than usual, so she can interact with key objects without stepping into the open. That longer reach fits a Duelist who wants to create openings rather than simply sprint into them.

Her abilities keep that theme going. Displacement can be thrown, or held ready, and then redirected toward her crosshair before it bursts, pulling nearby players toward its centre and concussing anyone who collides with a surface or another player. It refreshes after every two kills, rewarding aggressive follow-through. Flashbulb works in a similar steerable way, flashing anyone looking at it when it detonates. Flow drops an anchor and, if Hush is airborne, briefly holds her in place before launching her toward it. Her ultimate, Suspension, can be steered forward and then detonated to lift every player it catches.

Patch 13.09 is not only about the new agent. Riot has rewritten ability descriptions and tooltips across the game for clarity, added passive descriptions for more agents in selection, the agent hub, and tooltips, and redesigned the tooltip itself to show basics like agent, role, and keybinds at a glance. Two buff terms also get official names: Haste for a movement speed increase, and Snapshot for the still-image silhouette reveal from Cypher's Neural Theft and Spycam.

The balance side of the patch touches Clove and the Warden. Clove's Pick-me-up movement speed bonus drops from 15 percent to 10 percent, and killing Clove after Not Yet Dead is cast now grants an ultimate point and a signature refresh point. The Warden, meanwhile, gets smoother pitch recoil on its opening shots and tighter follow-up spread, changes Riot says should make the weapon feel more controllable and easier to learn at its current price. A long list of bug fixes rounds out the update, and Riot warns that Performance Score ratings on Hush may be uneven for the first few days while the team tunes how her utility is scored.
