Hellraiser: Revival's Update 1.1 Smooths Chases, Combat and Demo Saves

Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival has received Update 1.1, published on October 22, 2026, with improvements and fixes spread across consoles and PC. On all console platforms, cultist combat animations have been cleaned up to remove disorienting and incorrect attack poses, while the soundscape gets new touches including distinct hover sounds for each difficulty, a selection sound for the Hellraiser difficulty, richer ambient audio, and chanting and speech in the Altar Room during the ritual.

A long list of progression blockers is addressed. The update fixes players and the Chatterer getting stuck during the first chase, Bruno's slime form passing through closed doors and pulling the player from an arena, the transition into the Labyrinth failing after the Sister of Mercy stealth section, and the flashlight becoming permanently unavailable after loading a post-boss autosave. Combat and enemy behaviour are tidied up too, with fixes for Bruno glitching mid-animation, cultists clipping through geometry or vanishing mid-chase, and Embracers appearing without sound or visual effects.

Smaller touches round out the console changes, from kick and physics sounds for explosive canisters and rolling sounds for fire extinguishers to a reworked demo ending, a shader precompilation bar that no longer lingers on screen, and the removal of an outdated Coming Soon message from the demo end screen. The SMG also gets its own ammunition icon in the heads-up display.

Platform-specific notes follow the shared fixes. On PC through the Microsoft Store, demo saves can now transfer into the full game, audio performance on handheld PCs is improved, and VSync defaults now account for variable-refresh-rate displays. Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 all get a fix for an autosave restoring an obstacle at the Sheriff's body, the Trapper achievement or trophy now correctly requires damaging ten different enemies, and aiming depth of field is restored, while Switch 2 also gets updated stick icons, startup notices and corrected Joy-Con button labels.
