The FINAL FANTASY Trading Card Game is about to hit two milestones at once. Its next booster pack, Memories of Life, is scheduled for release on November 13, 2026, and it marks the 30th installment in the game's Opus series. The set also serves as a celebration of the series' 10th anniversary, a decade on from its launch in October 2016.
For deck builders, the headline change is a return of a card type that has been absent for some time. Memories of Life will include multi-element cards that are not LB cards, a combination players have not seen in a while, opening up fresh ways to put decks together. That shift alone should give both longtime players and returning collectors something new to experiment with.
The set also looks back at a recent release. It includes premium versions of all 12 starter-exclusive cards from the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Heavensward starter set, so players who picked up that deck can find upgraded versions of its cards here. Five of those newly illustrated cards will additionally appear as full-art premium cards, giving collectors a showcase version to chase.
Square Enix notes that the release date is tentative and that card images shown so far are still under development, so the final product may differ from early previews. Even with that caveat, Memories of Life shapes up as a landmark set: a 30th Opus release, a 10th anniversary celebration, and a meaningful shake-up for deck building all in one pack.
