Riders Republic has reached its fifth anniversary with more than 17 million players to date, and Ubisoft is marking the milestone with a package of celebrations that stretches from a free weekend to an in-game concert and a move to new hardware. The anniversary livestream set out the full programme, covering special events, returning and new in-game content, rewards, and a look ahead to the game's sixth year.
The headline offer for newcomers was a Free Weekend from October 22 to 26, letting players race through the wildlands of the US National Parks at no cost, with any progress carrying over if they later buy the game. A sale ran alongside it, with savings of up to 90% on the Ubisoft Store through October 26 and up to 80% on PlayStation and Xbox through November 4. Ubisoft's other franchises also joined the party in the Ridge, with an Edward Kenway-inspired Assassin's Creed outfit, a Rayman-themed BMX and Globox outfit, a Just Dance Panda coach outfit, and themed snowboards from The Crew Motorfest, For Honor, Skull and Bones and Brawlhalla.
Music is at the centre of the celebrations. From October 22, an in-game concert by Belgian DJ Henri PFR airs twice a day for two weeks on a big screen in the Ridge, which has been decorated with a light dome that shifts the area from daytime to night when players enter. The set includes his newly released single Make Love, plus Sola and Riders Things, a bespoke remix of the Riders Republic theme, and watching the concert earns a special reward. The three tracks also join the in-game radio station from Season 21.
Two limited-time events give regular players more to chase. A fifth anniversary developer-made event runs from October 21 to November 4, split across two weeks with fifth anniversary skis as the first week's reward and a fifth anniversary BMX as the second week's. A Ridge Full Send event follows from November 25 to December 9, featuring all Toys released in the past year. Watching Riders Republic on Twitch also earns rewards, with a Red Bull Snowboard after 30 minutes and a Cube Litening C68X Bike after 60 minutes.
Looking forward, Riders Republic is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on December 9, letting players take its extreme sports on the go. The same date brings offline play to all current platforms, including Switch 2. A new Nomad mode lets players enjoy most of the game's content in single-player without an internet connection, exploring the open world, progressing careers, unlocking landmarks, finding beauty spots and balloons, and customising their character, with all offline progress fully reintegrated into their online save once they reconnect. The shop, season progression, sponsors, multiplayer modes and user-created events still require an internet connection.
