Battlefield 6's long-awaited Server Browser is coming sooner than planned. Battlefield Studios announced on November 3 that the feature, originally slated for Phase 3 of Season 5, will begin its staged rollout shortly after Phase 2 launches on November 10, with stability ahead of the holidays as the priority.
The rollout runs in two stages. First, a Limited Public Scale Test gives a limited group of players access directly in the live game so the team can stress-test server loads, queues and matchmaking backfill with real squads. Once live performance is verified and fixes deployed, the browser fully launches worldwide. The team expects the stages to take a couple of weeks, depending on testing results.
The browser sits in the Quickplay row, opening straight onto an Official tab listing active servers, with more tiles across menus including Portal. Day-one features include direct access to Official Battlefield Studios and Official Player-hosted servers in one pool, filtering by map or mode and sorting by ping, player count, server name or recommended, full XP, weapon mastery and challenge progression on Official-tab servers, and persistent lobbies that keep squads on the same server across consecutive rounds.
Servers are split into tabs: Official (Studios and Player-hosted) with full matchmaking and progression, Verified community experiences on Portal presets with full XP, and Custom sandboxes with partial XP. Player-hosted servers stay visible even when empty, run on dedicated servers so the host need not stay in the match, and remain active for up to seven days without players before delisting.
