Grand Theft Auto VI is nearly here, and PlayStation has laid out how PS5 owners can be ready for launch day. The game arrives on November 19, and players who pre-order will be able to pre-download it starting November 10 at local midnight.

The first steps are housekeeping: make sure your PlayStation account is set up and its sign-in details are current, then pre-order through the PlayStation Store or a participating retailer. Pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition adds an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel and action tied to Jason and Lucia's story.

The practical detail that matters most is storage. PlayStation says players should clear a minimum of 212GB on their PS5 before pre-download begins, and points to storage expansion options for anyone short on space. Downloading early means the game is ready to play the moment it unlocks on November 19.

PlayStation also suggests rounding out the setup with accessories such as the DualSense Edge controller, Pulse headset and Pulse Elevate speakers, and says more launch details will follow as November 19 approaches.
