The Xbox PC app is getting a speed boost. Starting today, Xbox Insiders can try an updated app that launches up to 60% faster, with pages like Home, Store and Game Pass loading up to 50% faster and in-app windows opening up to 65% faster.
The update also reworks the app around everyday use: simpler library navigation with updated filters and new ways to organise games, friends and social features in the main navigation, search across more of Xbox from one place, and a cleaner look across game cards, Home and Settings.
On the web, the refreshed Xbox cloud gaming experience that Insiders previewed earlier this year is rolling out to more players over the next few weeks, with a new Library tab gathering cloud games in one place, a desktop mode that uses larger screens better, and dark and light modes plus five new high-contrast options.
The refreshed look and navigation is also coming to Xbox cloud gaming apps on supported TVs and VR headsets. Xbox says the changes are part of making Xbox faster, simpler and more familiar wherever you play, and that player feedback will keep shaping what comes next.
