Sony Interactive Entertainment has delayed the launch of its Pulse Elevate wireless speakers after a production issue was found during ongoing quality testing. The company announced the delay on November 6 and gave no new launch date, saying only that the extra time will let it deliver the experience it intended for players.
The speakers were due to go on sale from November 12, priced at $219.99. They are Sony's first wireless speakers, built around planar magnetic drivers with PlayStation Link wireless, a built-in mic with AI noise rejection, and a rechargeable battery for use on the go.
The Midnight Black pair was set to sell globally through direct.playstation.com and participating retailers, with the White pair exclusive to the US, UK, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Portugal. Pre-orders opened September 1.
