Google has rolled out Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash, now generally available across the Gemini API and Gemini for business. The new model generates native video clips up to 15 seconds long, up from 10 seconds with Omni 1.1, with durations selectable in one-second steps from 3 to 15 seconds.
The price drops 30% from Omni 1.1, to $0.07 per second for 720p video. Creators can draft at 360p or 720p, fix details with a follow-up edit instead of regenerating the whole clip, then upscale the best results to 1080p or 4K.
Reference following is stronger: the model can be guided by character, product or style images, short motion clips up to three seconds and audio cues, holding faces, garments, packaging typography and brand colours consistent across camera angles. Multi-turn conversational editing lets you swap a product or background, change lighting or weather, or switch aspect ratio turn by turn.
The model also promises more natural speech with clearer lip-sync and distinct multi-speaker conditioning, plus more controllable camera work, from FPV flythroughs to orbits, with fewer unwanted jump cuts. It is available in Flow, Google Vids — where 15-second clips come at no additional cost — the Gemini app for AI Ultra subscribers, and Google Ads.
