Season 1 marks a new chapter for Call of Duty: Warzone, with the full integration of Modern Warfare 4 bringing two new maps, more than 30 new weapons, new and returning modes, and a faster, more responsive match pace.

Maps

Hajin is the new large map, with 13 major points of interest spanning North and South Korea, from dense urban districts and industrial facilities to open farmland, rivers and mountains. It also brings a new Gulag with two arena variants, mantling, ground-level spectating and local weather. Six dynamic weather scenarios are picked at random at the start of each match, from Clear at 30% to a Growing Storm at 10%.

Zodiac is the new Resurgence map, set inside the DRC Advanced Systems drone manufacturing headquarters in South Korea. It has 10 points of interest combining industrial interiors, elevated rooftops, underground passages, moving trains and interactive hazards. Since the beta, the map has had visibility and lighting improvements, clearer footstep audio and a reworked Legendary loot economy.

Modes

Rally Point is a new 20-player mode on Zodiac with no Gas Circle, unlimited Resurgence and drop-in, drop-out play. Players explore, complete contracts, fight Hostile Soldiers and build Cash, with Neutral Grounds ceasefire zones offering Loadout, Redeploy and Payout stations, mid-match squad formation for up to four players, a single purchasable Nuke per match and an Aerial Scanner killstreak that reveals enemies through walls.

Interactable objects

New physics-based objects can be pushed, pulled and repositioned for cover, traps and routes: bollards, concrete cylinders, dumpsters, fuel barrels, wooden boxes, wooden wedges and wire spools. During Season 1, only Fuel Barrels are available on Rebirth Island.

Gameplay

Circle timings have been tightened across Battle Royale and Resurgence, cutting overall match time by nearly 5.5 minutes. Air assassinations now check ground proximity to stop fatal falls, dragging a downed teammate is more responsive, and downed enemies can give up while being dragged. More than 30 new weapons arrive with the Modern Warfare 4 integration, alongside new Perks, Equipment and progression.

Platforms

With Season 1, Warzone expands to Nintendo Switch 2, while support ends for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players moving to a supported platform keep their progression by signing in with the same linked Activision account. Previously available weapons, Operators and cosmetics carry forward, with Legacy Weapons offering preset builds unlocked through Armory XP. Private Match is disabled for Season 1 and returns in Season 2.

Anti-cheat

Raven Software is also enforcing against Warzone Agent, an unauthorised paid tool for lobby shopping. Players running it will be warned to close it, blocked from Multiplayer if they refuse, and can face temporary or permanent account and hardware bans for circumventing the block.
