Diablo Immortal's Latest Update Brings a Phantom Market, Rift Racer Season 3 and Battlegrounds Tuning

Blizzard has rolled out its latest Diablo Immortal update, and Westmarch has a new visitor. A cloaked stranger has appeared in the city, muttering about disturbances in the rift, invaders in the dungeons, hoarders of secret treasures and a crown taken by an unworthy tyrant. The update went live after server maintenance on November 3 and 4, and it packs in a Phantom Market, a new Rift Racer season and a round of feature updates and bug fixes.

Events

The Majestic Depths Phantom Market runs from November 4 to December 2. The prize draw offers a chance at the Lord of the Raging Tides legendary cosmetic, and the cross-class Final Feast Cantor weapon is guaranteed within the first three draws.

Rift Racer Season 3 runs from November 4 to November 8, with five difficulties matched to Combat Rating and class-based leaderboards that pit players against others playing the same class across servers. Goblins are back, and Nightmare difficulty brings back the Cross from Season 2 as the final boss. Leaderboard rewards have expanded to 12 tiers, with the top half of participants earning rewards and the top-ranked player per class taking the Rift Racer Champion Title for 90 days. Rewards go out on November 9 at the daily reset, 3:00 a.m. server time.

More events follow next week. A Legendary Gem drop pool event runs November 11 to December 16, giving Elder Rift runs a 50 percent drop rate for either the Haunt Coil or Leviathan Tomb Legendary Gem. Pass the Chair runs November 11 to December 9, with tasks that earn Expedition Tokens and milestone rewards including Telluric Pearls, 1-Star Legendary Gems and Set Items of choice. Trial of the Hordes runs November 11 to November 18, and Shady Stock runs November 14 to November 21.

Feature Updates

War Games gets new Character Settings that let the lobby host switch combat systems on or off and set stat upper limits, covering familiars, Awakened Legendary Gems and attribute limits for Resonance, Combat Rating, Life, Damage, Potency, Resistance, Armor Penetration and Armor. The settings are temporary, available from November 4, 2026 to February 17, 2027 while Blizzard evaluates performance.

Battlegrounds matchmaking has been retuned, with the MMR system adjusted for more accurate skill evaluation and more consistent rating changes after wins and losses, aimed at reducing rating inflation and improving match balance over time. Blizzard notes match quality also depends on regional populations, queue times and availability.

Elsewhere, class icons now appear next to avatars on Leaderboards, Party Finder, PvP and more, and Auxiliary Gem rules have been clarified: a socketed dormant Legendary Gem can still hold a Rank 1 Auxiliary Gem, with maximum Auxiliary ranks of 5 for 1-Star, 6 for 2-Star and 2/5-Star, 7 for 3/5-Star, 8 for 4/5-Star and 9 for 5/5-Star gems. An Auxiliary Gem's rank cannot exceed its Primary Gem's rank, and Auxiliary Gems do not contribute Gem Power the way Resonance Gems do. Vanguard difficulties 1 to 3 now have a button to add Spectral Allies manually, while difficulty 4 still needs a full party.

Bug Fixes

The update fixes a batch of class issues: Barbarian Gilded Hunter's Demoralize radius and Polished Pestles' Leap Attack stun, Monk Clashing Sky's Kick being interrupted by the player's own movement under high latency, Crusader Storm Saddle's Draw and Quarter charge and Ordhelm's Holy Banner clashing with Lustre Titanic and Torrential Refrain, Necromancer Skeletal Mage failing to damage training dummies with Black Wall and Calcified Celerity and Bone Wall slow duration from Gyreplate, Tempest Unmoored Eyes' Blade Dance going missing, and Warlock Watch Them Writhe knockback range near terrain edges.

One timing note for players: server time falls back one hour for North America, Europe and Oceania at the next maintenance rollout for Patch 5.1.4, scheduled for mid-November. This week's patch is 5.1.3 and does not change server time, with an in-game announcement seven days ahead and a mailbox message a week out.
