Gen.G are through to the League of Legends World Championship final for the first time in nine years.

The Korean side swept Invictus Gaming 3-0 in the first semifinal of Worlds 2026, played at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. It is Gen.G's first trip to the final since their days as Samsung Galaxy, and the first Worlds final for Kiin, Chovy and Duro.

The sweep was sealed in dramatic fashion in game three. Invictus Gaming raced out to a 6-0 kill lead and more than 4,000 gold ahead, taking the first Dragon and two kills in a four-man dive on the top lane. Gen.G steadied themselves, stole a Dragon as Invictus Gaming moved to secure the Mountain Soul, cleaned up the fight and took Baron.

Invictus Gaming still claimed the Mountain Soul, but Gen.G forced the decisive teamfight, swept up the kills and marched down mid lane to close out the series.

Gen.G will face the winner of the second semifinal between T1 and Bilibili Gaming in the Grand Final on Saturday, November 14 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn. Invictus Gaming finish in third to fourth place.
